                                            March Spearit Newsletter
With Spring coming we have had an increase in customers requesting one on one time to help design their
pieces of jewelry.  To accommodate these requests, we ask that you call ahead to make an appointment so that
we can make the appropriate arrangements.  There will also be a $20.00 an hour “design time” fee.  We want to
make sure that we meet the needs of all our customers in a satisfactory manner.
We are also very excited to have one of our primary suppliers coming to the store to have a bead trunk sale.
He is bringing a wonderful selection of glass, stone, pearls, metal and findings that will be offered at wholesale
prices(date to be determined later) .  We have also added a calendar to the website so you can keep track of all
the upcoming events.
Spring/Summer Fashion Trends 2010
Keep your jewelry designs up to date by learning about upcoming fashion trends. Global Fusion and Midsummer’s Night, the two big trends
for Spring and Summer 2010, are full of bold colors, cultural influences and nature-themed components.
Global Fusion
Inspired by the cultures and landscapes of Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, Global Fusion reflects the merging of creative
influences throughout the world. Vibrant colors like bright red, violet and green combine with subdued earth tones such as ochre, beige and
clay red, evoking the contrast of culture and nature.  When it comes to jewelry, handcrafted components are essential. Unique fashion
statements are created by combining elements from diverse cultures. Distinct materials such as metal and wood, natural gemstones and brass
and suede with metal links combine to form gorgeous designs as varied as the different landscapes and cultural traditions throughout the
world. Hand painted beads, fringe necklaces, hammered hoops, dangling earrings and bangle bracelets will reflect the beauty of merging
cultures that each bring a touch of unique beauty.
Midsummer’s Night
Reflecting the magic and romanticism of fairy tales, Midsummer’s Night is bursting with spiritual mysticism and poetic beauty.  When it
comes to jewelry, use your designs to make a statement. Nature-themed components such as flowers, leaves and birds combine with earthy
elements like carved wooden beads, mother of pearl, fabric beads and silk ribbon to tell a magical story. These jewelry designs reflect
greater symbolism and a deeper search for meaning.
